İnebolu Kayığı 29

“İnebolu Kayığı” is essentially the name what the typology is called. These boats are of a great importance in Turkish naval history as they played a vital role in Turkish National War in (1919 – 1922). They served as cargo boats for survival of Turkish Republican Army along Black Sea coasts where they were originated and built. She is the only remaining contributor to this war and rests in Naval Museum in Beşiktaş. She was awarded with a medal of honor. Our team has surveyed, measured, made 3d modelling, rendering and drew the lines plan of the vessel for a scientific research; so that an article has been written and presented in an international naval architecture and marine engineering congress held in Istanbul in 2011.
